Job Description:

Plans and directs operations within the assigned region to support the Key Performance Indicators. Plans objectives for assigned area and ensures management is in compliance with corporate and regional performance goals for support service and food service programs.

The Project Engineer is an experienced "operator without a portfolio" that is flexible for support assignments to prospective, new and existing accounts. As a support resource the Project Engineer will be assigned by a senior leader (RVP) to conduct surveys of potential client facilities; assist on presentations; plan and execute start-ups of new business; audit and/or re-engineer existing accounts; recruit and train management or hourly personnel; or perform other operations, program development, teaching, research or troubleshooting assignments. The Project Engineer must be knowledgeable, experienced and fully fluent in food service and support service programs.

The Project Engineer must be proficient in company accounting, all company operating systems, and must have an intimate working knowledge of company HR policies and procedures.

While not permanently assigned to any specific account or groups of accounts, the Project Engineer must necessarily be ready and available to accept command responsibility for start-ups or troubled units, performing both start-up (or restart) as well as day-to-day management duties.

During periods of reduced Division activity, the Field Project Engineer may be asked to perform assignments outside of the Division.

    • Successfully builds relationships at all levels of the client, customer and Morrison Community Living /Compass organizations. Specifically cultivates relationships with officer level clients.
    • Manages multiple business goals and priorities in the best interest of the organization as measured by Client Satisfaction and Client Retention achievements.
    • Delivers the corporate message and priorities for the RVP.
    • Identifies client's needs, communicates account progress and new Company programs to client as directed by the RVP.
    • Attends key meetings and functions to maintain visibility.
    • Investigates complaints regarding facility operation and resolves satisfactorily.
    • Conducts and/or monitors customer, client and associate satisfaction surveys.
    • Communicates effectively with all team members, patients and families through conferences, individual consultation and committee participation. This includes telephone, written, and electronic communication.
    • Ensures that all accounts take specific action to correct issues at all facilities that do not attain Patient Satisfaction levels that are agreed upon with the client.
    • Reads and complies with all policies and procedures of Morrison Community Living and Compass as appropriate.
    • Ensures consistent and equitable administration of human resource policies, procedures and guidelines to facilitate effective employee relations and support the preferred employer focus.
    • Projects and practices consistent ownership attributes, which provide a high level of customer service at all points of contact.
    • Participates in Patient Visitation rounds with facility management team during each site visit, ensures that Morrison Community Living Patient Visitation policies and procedures are followed.
    • Conducts audits at all accounts including but not limited to:

  • Contractual

  • Sanitation and Food Safety

  • Retail and Patient Tray Standards

  • Patient Satisfaction Standards

    • Proficient in the understanding and operation of the Team Coach, eFinance, Team Staff and other company software tools.
    • Supports food service and support services accounts in the understanding and operation of system applications.
    • Works closely with the Company's IS Department where/as needed; recommends changes or modifications to the system for consideration.
    • Collects and analyzes facility data including, occupancy data etc., develops appropriate staffing levels based on industry standards, company benchmarking and personal experience.
    • Surfaces hard to collect data through direct interviews, observation, experience and other methods - skillfully estimates labor components for each function and area.
    • Performs equipment inventory.
    • Prepares the labor and non-labor costing in accordance with Company guidelines and protocol.
    • Identifies and addresses "hot spots" and program issues.
    • Identifies and develops action plans for quality and service issues.
    • Recommends best practice synergies with food service and support services programs.
    • Implements all Morrison Community Living programs according to any/all business proposals, Company standard and costing.
    • When necessary, provides recommendations for the use of external resources.
    • Performs Operations Audits as needed.
    • Troubleshoots problem accounts, reviewing system implementation and application.

    ServSafe certified within one (1) year of date of hire.

    B.S. Degree preferred, plus five (5) to (8) years System Director or Director Level experience in support services and/or food service.
